Who Should Invest?
» Why Women Should Invest

  • Women comprise 42% of the total labor force.  Millions of women are earning above average incomes yet many of these same women believe that investing is beyond their capabilities and leave it to others.  This is a myth that needs to be dispelled.

  • Women of any income level can learn to invest.  In fact, from experience of teaching non-traditional students both men and women, women are often more adept at investing.  This may be due to the facts that:

    • Women are often in charge of household budgets and know the value of a dollar. They are less susceptible to get rich quick schemes.

    • Women are responsible for much of the consumption in the United States and are therefore knowledgeable about hundreds of products.  They know what they need and like, what their young children or teenagers or partners want.  Women often plan vacations and other forms of entertainment, they arrange doctors visits and lawn care. Their knowledge covers the entire spectrum of consumer goods and services and all the changing trends within these sectors.

    • Women are more thorough in their research of investment vehicles, they want to make sure they understand exactly what the vehicle means in terms of risk and rewards.

    • Women treat investing as a very serious business.  They are more patience and willing to take a long term view.

  • This course is designed to make investing interesting and non-threatening.  It has helped women develop confidence towards understanding all types of investment vehicles and how they operate.  It can help you too.
